The Shuster Project - Tobacco Industry Fraud & False Claims Issues
To Whom It May Concern,
The Shuster Project is a Connecticut-based tobacco industry Fraud & False Claims
issues organization addressing non-health related tobacco industry issues.
Our web site address is http://www.rxshuster.org
With tobacco companies committing crimes such as Income Tax Fraud, state Sales Tax Fraud,
Antitrust violations and more in Connecticut, those defrauded revenues have a direct,
negative impact on the health-related organizations here in Connecticut and across the
country.
The Shuster Project conservatively estimates that Connecticut has been defrauded out of a
minimum of $190 Million Dollars in just 2 out of dozens of tobacco industry Fraud &
False Claims practices in the last 20 years alone.
And these fraudulent activities on the part of the tobacco companies has been going on in
Connecticut for over 40 years!
Since the last time we contacted you, we have instituted considerable and extensive
expansion of our Grassroots Efforts and interactive tools, including the use of Petitions,
Message Boards, Surveys and more resulting in The Shuster Project receiving in excess of
16,000+ page hits per month, making The Shuster Project the premiere tobacco issues web
site in Connecticut and the Northeast.
We recently launched our CAP (Citizens Action Programs) series of public programs
including our online broadcasting station iCAT (internet Citizens Action Talk-PC) and our
Public Speaker Program Offer for New England.
You can find out more about these and our other resources by reviewing our main web site
entry page.
We hope that you will distribute The Shuster Project web address
(http://www.rxshuster.org) among your membership so that they can access a potent,
Connecticut-based tobacco issues web site that empowers ordinary citizens to engage the
tobacco industry in ways no other tobacco issues web site does and to give them the
choices to participate in Grassroots Efforts to restore in excess of $190 Million Dollars
in defrauded revenues to Connecticut.
Just by doing that alone, the "corrected" Income Streams in Connecticut Sales
Tax Revenues will generate tens of millions of dollars annually in "smoker"
sales tax dollars that can, in part, go towards the funding of Connecticut's
health-related tobacco issues organizations.
We once again ask for your participation along with us, this time with even more instate
programs, Speaker Programs, Media Alert Programs, Grassroots Efforts and more...because
it's going to take people...people and organizations like yours and mine to make a
dramatic difference and force the recovery in the loss and theft of Connecticut Income Tax
Revenues and Connecticut Sales Tax Revenues that easily exceed $190 Million Dollars.
If your willing to help, we have some ideas you may be interested in.
As is our custom, this letter will be displayed in our CORRESPONDENCE 2000 page for public
review.
