The Shuster Project web site at http://www.rxshuster.org recently received the prestigious StudyWeb Excellence Award. This Award certifies the content of The Shuster Project web site as appropriate, important and relevant for school curriculum studies in History and Social Studies in the areas of Criminal Justice/White Collar Crimes. Despite continued critical acclaim, accolades and credibility for our work exposing issues of tobacco industry Fraud & False Claims including, but not limited to, state and federal Income Tax Fraud, state's Sales Tax Fraud, Antitrust violations and much more, Connecticut's legislators continue to refuse to take action in order to recover vast sums of money and tax revenues stolen, defrauded and embezzled by the tobacco companies. This "absence of action" on the part of CT's legislators just allows the tobacco companies to continue to defraud Connecticut state Income Taxes, CT state Sales Taxes, other Revenues and Income Streams in amount of Tens of Millions of Dollars annually. The Shuster Project was responsible for the introduction of what is now RB6942 which, when passed, will empower CT with a powerful platform by which to recover these vast sums of defrauded money. It has been THREE YEARS since CT Attorney General Richard Blumenthal spoke before the CT Judiciary Committee requesting passage of this Bill, yet RB6942 remains unpassed and ignored by the CT legislature. We ask that all who see this Petition, regardless of the state or Country that you live in, sign it as a declaration that the time for this inexcusable "absence of action" on these issues is over. Please sign this Petition, pass it on to your family and friends and then contact your own legislators and make sure that they, too, begin to address the issues of tobacco industry Fraud & False Claims as illustrated in The Shuster Project web site.
