Anti-Trust

Antitrust Laws

The Company requires strict compliance with the antitrust laws. Among other things, these laws prohibit collusion between competitors and contain provisions forbidding discriminatory treatment of customers. Because questions under the antitrust laws can be complex, it is essential that employees continue to consult with the Legal Department on antitrust matters as well as other legal matters.

From American Tobacco Company  "Code of Conduct"

This is a "provision" of The American Tobacco Company "Code of Conduct" manual given to all  company Representatives.

I have detailed several indisputable discriminatory practices and policies of the tobacco companies, including The American Tobacco.

I include both this provision and the reminder of the various discriminatory practices (Redlining, carton volume "exclusion" of special offers, etc.) I have already detailed to preclude any and all bogus claims that may be made by the tobacco companies that they did not discriminate against their customers.
