3rd Response to Governor Rowland 1/02/03 - This correspondence reestablishes "The Shuster Project's" determination to not be lied to in any dealings from CT's Governor Rowland or any other legislator who seeks to misrepresent their "commitments" to our Organization. The manner in which CT Governor Rowland plays petty politics with such a significant series of tobacco industry fraud and false claims crimes that, to date, has defrauded in excess of $300+ Million Dollars from CT's honest taxpayers is a complete and thorough disgrace. letter from Ramona Sablón 1/02/03 - This letter was received in response to "The Shuster Project" informing CT Governor Rowland's office that unless and until he took the issues of tobacco industry fraud & false claims crimes seriously, "The Shuster Project" would not be used as a pawn in any political game. letter from Calvin Mellor - CT Dept of Revenue Services 1/08/03 - This letter was in response to "The Shuster Project" offer to assist the department in recovering in excess of $300+ Million Dollars in combined, defrauded CT State Income Tax revenues and defrauded CT State Sales Tax revenues as a result of tobacco industry fraud & false claims crimes. Based upon the large number of inaccuracies and insulting innuendos within this letter to "The Shuster Project," it's clear that the Department of Revenue Services has no serious interest in participating in any such recovery. Response to Calvin Mellor letter of 1/08/03 1/29/03 - This response by "The Shuster Project" seeks to illustrate the inaccuracies and to respond to the insulting innuendos within Calvin's letter of 1/08/03. Although there is apparently little hope or expectation that the CT Department of Revenue Services is going to take any appreciable action whatsoever against the tobacco companies fraud and false claims crimes, "The Shuster Project" continues to set out a potent plan of action the DRS could take if they were either serious or sincere in recovering the $300+ Million Dollars in combined, defrauded CT State Income Tax revenues and the defrauded CT State Sales Tax revenues to put towards the $500+ Million CT State budget deficit for just this fiscal year, alone. letter to Illinois Governor Blagojevich 4/03/03 - This correspondence was sent to the Honorable Governor of Illinois by "The Shuster Project" in order to encourage him to investigate the exact tobacco industry fraud & false claims crimes that occur there in Illinois, as they do in CT and have for well over FOUR DECADES, unabated, as the Philip Morris Tobacco Company was attenpting to fraudulently claim "bankruptcy" as a means to blackmail Illinois to drop current legal proceedings against them. The Philip Morris Tobacco Company is no more near Bankruptcy than is WalMarts! Letter to the Editor - Waterbury Republican-American 4/22/03 - This "Letter to the Editor" was sent to the Waterbury REpublican-American in plenty of time to be placed in the Editorial Page prior to the 5/5/03 Mayoral Election in Naugatuck, CT. The paper refused to print the letter, despite the significant, factual information regarding serious instances of gross negligence involving the newspaper's "endorsed" candidate.AN IMPORTANT ELECTION WAS "THROWN" IN NAUGATUCK, CONNECTICUT ON MAY 5TH OF 2003. I wonder who cares? Second Request that the "Letter to the Editor - Waterbury Republican-American" be published 4/30/03 - This was a follow-up to the 4/22/03 "Letter to the Editor" again sent to the Waterbury Republican-American. Citing "length" rather then relevancy, the paper again refused to inform the voters of Naugatuck as to the gross negligence of the endorsed candidate of this newspaper, when he was a CT State Rep. and did NOTHING to recover $310+ MILLION DOLLARS in combined, defrauded CT State Income Tax Revenues and CT State Sales Tax Revenues when he "promised" that he would do all that he could, yet did absolutely nothing. The people had a right to know. The Waterbury Republican-American withheld this viatl information from the Naugatuck Voters for no legitimate reason. "Length"??? I don't think so. letter to CT Governor Rowland 5/06/03 - This correspondence was to encourage CT Governor Rowland to act to recover the $310+ MILLION DOLLARS in CT State Income Tax revenues and CT State Sales Tax revenues currently defrauded by tobacco industry fraud & false claims crimes that continue, unabated, to this day, so that they could be dedicated towards Teen Smoking Cessation Programs across CT, as this state languishes at the bottom of the barrel in spending on these and other smoking cessation programs across CT. letter to Luther Vandross 5/10/03 - Every once in a while, "The Shuster Project" goes "off topic" to send correspondence to people who are so richly deserving of all of our sentiments and best wishes. This is one of those times. Recently, the health of the great R&B singer Luther Vandross has been significantly challenged and the Staff and Friends of "The Shuster Project" sent Luther a "Get Well" card in the hopes that he quickly returns to good health.
