Below is The Shuster Project response to the incredible decision this Schulz character made to exclude us from their planned event based upon absolutely false and transparent lies about some sudden incompatibility with our common ground issues. It was at this
point that my senior staff and I decided to pursue this to the end in order to find out
just what the truth was in this bogus invitation we had received in the first place. We didnt have
to wait long to find out. It is nothing shy
of amazing the stupidity of this GiveMeLiberty.com leader.
Dear Jeff and Bob, I have notified the two senior members of The Shuster Project staff that I had invited to go with me to Washington on the 17th of February to make our presentation on the federal income tax fraud issues that are most definitely related to your stated purpose of that symposium that we will not be going after all, as I was confident we would be. They, as well as I, are astonished at Bob Schulz' decision. The centerpiece of our work is not just to expose the IRS for not initiating those actions that would recover in excess of $1.3 Billion Dollars in defrauded state and federal income tax revenues, but to also offer sound proposals and legislative initiatives that would put into place sweeping corrective measures that would end the corporate fraud on the part of not just the offending tobacco companies but other industries that commit the same types of income tax fraud. It is not enough to just rally people under a supposed banner of Jeffersonian themes without also providing them with clear, factual, significant examples of the types of fraud you are trying to expose and correct. It is also not enough to just rally people to rattle sabres with no clear agenda as to precisely define attainable goals and objectives as well as produce and propose legislative initiatives and solutions and to then exclude from speaking those who have demonstrated credible, reputable, responsible and significant experience in addressing examples of IRS fraud, examples of vast corporate income tax fraud and exclude from speaking we who are proposing legitimate corrective legislative initiatives and sound leadership and credibility relative to these issues. In the absence of credibility you merely expose large numbers of earnest people and organizations to public scorn and disrepute. Bob Schulz is wrong in his ascertion that the state and federal income tax fraud component and the IRS component of The Shuster Project work "subject matter is not closely related enough to our stated purpose to warrant a separate presentation." It would appear that he invites organizations to his functions without doing the kind of research into those organizations required to know what and whom he also chooses to exclude from his functions when such organizations choose to redefine their unsolicited invitation to insure that their participation and presentation illustrates that responsible and credible leadership in the purported subject matter Bob seems to feel so strongly about exists in other quarters, as well. This is reminiscent of my experience with Kwaisi Mfume of the NAACP. Kwaisi and I corresponded back and forth a couple times and he offered the full weight of his national organization in support of the minorities and gender component of The Shuster Project work and asked what it was he could do for us. I responded to his "pledge" with approximately 4 proposals, as a start, that can be found in the Correspondence 1999 section of The Shuster Project web site. Our proposals in that "presentation" to him addressed the issues of our assisting black businesses that were being "redlined" by the tobacco industry and denied hundreds of millions of dollars in display contracts and special premium offers to their customers as the result of both sales volume discrimination and discrimination due to the locale of minority stores alone. Our proposals in that "presentation" addressed the issues of revealing how tobacco companies get young black children, boys and girls, to smoke and how to work to reduce that significantly. Our proposals in that "presentation" addressed ways we would help the NAACP to empower their members and business members to make a difference in legislation and legislative proposals that would benefit their community and other minority communities in the area of state and federal income tax fraud, state sales tax revenues fraud and others. After sending that "presentation" to Kwaisi the "line went dead." As it turns out, our "presentation" to him of our proposals reveals that under his leadership of the NAACP, none of the work that The Shuster Project is doing for the betterment of black people and other minorities and their business people as well is anything at all in his agenda as leader of that organization. But we knew that going in. For him to act on our proposals might have been to reveal his absence of leadership to his own people, his organization, their membership and business membership in the specific work that The Shuster Project is doing as it applies to the minority community. I believed he would rise above petty ego and embrace the work of our concerned organization, our indisputable credibility, our dedication, our focus, the identification we provided him of so many factors he was unaware of that are so negatively affecting his community and the many solutions we offered to work with him to achieve together. So, in this matter now before me, although I was saddened by Bob's decision it is not The Shuster Project that suffers in that decision. The Shuster Project is so recognized as a responsible and credible leader in addressing income tax and income tax fraud issues with credible, factual, educational and interactive methods such that we received an award for our work. Should you review and then reverse this decision to forego allowing us to make a brief but significant presentation at your function please inform me no later than Friday, 1/26/01, otherwise I must once again respectfully decline your invitation to attend. We reject providing "body count" over substance. We always have and we always will.
