We carefully considered your claim and determined that the information you furnished does  
not provide for the allowance of a reward.   The restrictions on the disclosure of   
confidential tax information limit our giving specific reasons for our decision.      
Some of the circumstances that do not result in a reward are as follows:      
(1)Recovery was too small to warrant payment of reward.      
(2)Information was previously known to the Service or available in public records readily  
 accessible to the Service.      
(3)Information furnished did not cause the investigation.      
We appreciate your interest in enforcement of tax laws.

This form-letter, which was sent to me and not even the attorney of record, is the clear evidence of the IRS betrayal both to the American Taxpayer and to the recovery of hundreds of millions of dollars in the SMALLEST of Federal issues involving yet another false claim by the tobacco companies.      (*see Federal Issues) This is the letter, which I sent to the IRS to get them to review the evidence and reopen this claim.
