"The Tobacco Wars" presented by Phil Hilts November 14, 1995 To Whom It May Concern, webmaster@ksgwww.harvard.edu My name is Bob Shuster. I am the Executive Director of The Shuster Project. Our Web site address is http://www.rxshuster.org/We are the first NON-health related Tobacco Fraud & False Claims resource that I am aware of, having been involved in the tobacco industry for over seventeen years. The Shuster Project is using never before revealed tobacco company documents, guides and forms to reveal, in a measured approach, an incredible array of fraudulent policies, practices, procedures and false claims. I would like to know if you are authorized, on behalf of Mr. Hilts, to allow that article/speech at the Web address of : http://www.ksg.harvard.edu/ksgpress/ksg_news/transcripts/hilts.htm ...to be copied into my Web site. Unfortunately, the Media also plays a significant role in keeping the public in the dark about these never before revealed tobacco issues they do not understand, have no knowledge of and are being informed about by us, as opposed to "finding" them on their own. You will understand more about how I mean that to be interpreted if you go to The Shuster Project Web site and access the Press Releases I have sent (4 since our inception on May 14th, 1999) to over 2,500 radio, newspaper and television news media outlets. Then ask yourself if you ever read about these issues in your local paper, saw them mentioned on your local television news or heard them on your local radio station. We are switching The Shuster Project, as was planned, from an initially intensive Media interactive Web site to a more General Public and student accessible and interactive Web site within the next 7-10 days. It is one of the most interactive Tobacco Issues oriented Web sites on the Internet. I would ask that you visit there and review it's contents to appraise yourself of tobacco issues I guarantee that you had no idea existed. Then see that each Attorney General has been appraised of these issues, including Connecticut's entire legislature. I have a bill pending and stalled which would return over $190 million dollars in lost revenues to Connecticut alone, immediately, and establish tobacco consumer purchasing Income Streams presently being defrauded away from the State Treasury by the tobacco companies via False Claims. You should wonder why even your Attorney General is standing on the sidelines on these issues. Secondly, I found Mr. Hilts speech worthy of inclusion into my site and would like to know how to go about getting his authorization to do so. Should you feel The Shuster Project, as it continues to grow, to be of any value to your student body, please feel free to link it to your database. Please just inform me that this would be done so that I can observe where it is linked. I am already linked to Universities in Canada and certain libraries. I look forward to hearing back from you should you have any questions, as well. With Warm Regards, Robert X.
