Dear Robb,
Thank you very much for your last response. I am sorry (my last apology) if I seemed
overly sensitive. I am very new to this sort of political work, having spent much of
my time helping people research for books and teaching English at UConn.
Furthermore, I can fully appreciate your frustration! While I was in college, I
interned in DC for Ted Kennedy and did some work just out of college in Hartford. I
was turned off by the lack of responsiveness most legislators have to so many of what I
consider to be important issues. I left politics, not intending to return until I
heard that George was running for Governor. I can see why you are so frustrated with
him, but I believe he is an outstanding person whose ideals and positions I firmly support
(and of the choices available, I believe he would make by far the best governor).
I am going to go over all the information you have given me and try to learn as much as
possible as quickly as possible. I had noticed that your site said it was best
viewed on another browser, which is why I attributed my difficulties to AOL. I will
try Explorer (that's the only other one I have) and see if that helps.
I am really glad that we are "starting over" with a much better understanding of
where we are each coming from. Please believe that I will do all I can to help you
(I don't know how far that will go, but you will get 100% effort from me!).
I look forward to working on this with you.
Best wishes,
Meghan
