Dear Paul,

I received a mailing from your FI recently.

The topics your flyer mentions, in terms of stories that your magazine

covers, are indeed controversial.

My web site, The Shuster Project - Tobacco Industry Fraud & False Claims

Issues, and my staff reveals fraudulent practices and procedures within the

tobacco industry which are also quite controversial for both who KNOWS and

doesn't know about them.

I am presently involved with dealing with an IRS that has been brought, by

us, into the knowledge about tobacco industry Income Tax Fraud, alone, which

totals an amount in excess of $500 MILLION dollars.

We have also inadvertently uncovered an inability by the staff and/or the

administration of the Internal Revenue Service, through lack of precedence,

or an ineptness, as a result of being provided tobacco company income tax

fraud information they admit they had no clue was being perpetrated right

under their noses; they now refuse to either take steps to recover these

defrauded funds, take steps to prevent this ongoing fraud which continues

unabated...but most bizarre are the steps they are trying to take to make it

appear as though this fraud either doesn't exist at all, or that they knew

about it all along yet do nothing to address it, or that the income tax fraud

conducted by the tobacco companies somehow is not in *significant enough*

dollars for them to take action - all of these quite startling.

I have this ongoing saga well documented in our web site.

I appreciate your invitation to subscribe to your magazine.

The best role myself and my pretty neat staff can do is what we have been

doing as a team since May 14th of 1999 when our web site officially

launched...to continue to address these issues to the general public.

We devoted the first 6-8 months since our launch dedicated to providing

ourselves as an exclusive resource to new organizations, sending out press

releases to over 3,200 radio, print and television news outlets approximately

every 2 months as our content took extraordinary shape within a

"content-based" web site.

Our site "hits" totaled approximately 3,400.

Apparently what the media doesn't understand, they ignore.

And what they don't understand, they take no steps to ask questions or

research.

As planned, approximately around October/November of 1999, we made the

transition to a General Public based resource, sending out search engine,

directory and index sites our web page URL's and we now receive approximately

16,000+ page hits per month.

It would appear the general public DOES consider these issues important to

them and they ARE taking the time to research our site....extensively.

I invite you to visit us at http://www.rxshuster.org and see some of these

issues for yourself.

We offer Grassroots Efforts, Media Alert Programs, Message Boards, Petitions,

Surveys, a Public Speaker Program, a offer to participate in any "live" Web

site-based Chats for those web sites that would like me to "guest" and speak

to their members on issues of tobacco industry fraud.

I guess the ball is back in your court.

The Shuster Project, in a measured approach, will continuously introduce new

content approximately every 6-10 weeks.

We now exceed 175 pages+, including tobacco industry documents, forms, guides

and more, previously unknown to the public, to in part illustrate these

issues of tobacco industry fraud & false claims.

If you have any questions, you will find that I am the most accessible

Executive Director of any tobacco issues web site on the Internet.

Sincerely,
Bob Shuster
