A few years ago I wrote to Joe Pellon, in my capacity as the Executive Director of "The Shuster Project - Tobacco Industry Fraud & False Claims Issues" Organization (http://www.rxshuster.org/), to compliment him with respect to his fine efforts on behalf of the children of the State of Connecticut in regards to the issues of child/teen/young adult smoking and the Connecticut legislature's incredibly dismal record in addressing this and many other tobacco industry issues.

My staff and I have provided Joe a spot for his web site's Logo and a link back to his web site.

This can be found in the Award-winning "The Shuster Project" web site, here: http://www.rxshuster.org/links.htm  ( some changes seem to be in order with respect to this as it appears that his web address has changed ... if the current link does not work, be patient as it will be changed soon!  :o)  )

In addition, my staff and I would like to express our appreciation to Joe Pellon for putting a reference to "The Shuster Project" and a link back to our web site on the main page of his wonderful web site!!

It is that kind of mutual cooperation that is going to get this job, of addressing the multitude of tobacco issues (health AND non-health related) as they relate to our children and young adults, accomplished.

Since May 14th of 1999, "The Shuster Project" has initiated direct contact with the CT Governor's office (and several other Governors), every CT state Representative and CT state Senator, CT's Attorney General (and every other states' Attorneys General), every federal US Senator and select Congresspersons, then-President Clinton & VP Al Gore, current President George W. Bush, various "leaders" of several national organizations (NAACP, NOW, AARP. etc.) and other "prominent" individuals and approx. 3,750 media outlets across the United States ranging from newspapers, radio news stations and television news stations (via seven (7) Press Releases and several "Special Alerts"), addressing the issues of tobacco industry fraud and false claims crimes being perpetrated in each and every state across this country and the enormous negative financial impact these tobacco industry crimes were having in these States.

Tobacco industry CT State Income tax fraud and tobacco industry CT State Sales Tax fraud crimes, alone, have defrauded CONNECTICUT out of $300+ MILLION DOLLARS in just these two CT state tax revenue streams, yet this tobacco industry fraud continues, unabated, to this very day!

Why haven't you been told of these tobacco industry fraud and false claims crimes by the newspaper(s) that you read, the radio station(s) that you listen to and/or the television news station(s) that you watch?

Chances are that any of the media outlets that you access for your local/state/national news information HAS been contacted by "The Shuster Project" organization, yet not ONE of them has seen fit to bring the issues of tobacco industry fraud and false claims crimes to your attention, despite their having received our seven (7) Press Releases and several "Special Alerts" of these tobacco industry crimes in specific detail.

Here is the web address of just the very first Press Release within “The Shuster Project” web site: http://www.rxshuster.org/press_release_.htm

Not ONE of these media outlets even lifted a finger to even INVESTIGATE these crimes!

Nor did ANY of Connecticut's state or federal legislators, including George Jepsen, do ONE thing to either investigate these crimes or do ONE THING to RECOVER this HUGE sum of DEFRAUDED CT STATE TAX REVENUES!

So, with that in mind, I congratulate Joe Fellon for his fine work with respect to Connecticut's children and young adults relative to the "health-related issues" aspect of the tobacco industry and I urge him to continue that fine work and I urge YOU to do all that YOU can to HELP him.

HOWEVER, I also urge YOU to LEARN all that YOU can of the numerous and extensive "NON-health related" CORPORATE FRAUD and FALSE CLAIMS issues/crimes involving the tobacco industry by visiting the Award-winning "The Shuster Project - Tobacco Industry Fraud and False Claims Issues" web site where YOU can get directly involved and engage the tobacco industry and their fraud and false claims crimes by participating in our various GRASSROOTS efforts, such as our current PETITIONS, SURVEY, MEDIA ALERT Programs and others.

There is in excess of $300+ MILLION DOLLARS in both defrauded CT STATE INCOME TAX REVENUES and in defrauded CT STATE SALES TAX REVENUES that can and MUST BE RECOVERED!

All THREE of our current PETITIONS, (http://www.rxshuster.org/feedback.htm), #17, #18 and #19, urge and strongly instruct our CT State officials to INVESTIGATE AND RECOVER the $300+ MILLION DOLLARS IN DEFRAUDED CT STATE TAX REVENUES and to work with "The Shuster Project" to SHUT DOWN these tobacco industry fraud and false claims crimes once and for all!

"The Shuster Project" is currently in the process of getting our first BOOK ready for presentation to various publishers with the expectation of getting it into print for YOU by one of these publishers by the end of 2003!

In September of 2000, StudyWeb.com bestowed upon "The Shuster Project" it's prestigious "ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARD," thereby making our web site's content applicable to school curriculum in Grades 12+ in the subjects of HISTORY and SOCIAL STUDIES in and for the topics of CRIMINAL JUSTICE and WHITE COLLAR CRIMES ... so write to your CT state and local school board's of education and urge them to include "The Shuster Project's" web site in their schools computer systems so that your children can learn about the ravages of corporate tobacco industry fraud and false claims crimes that actually exceed the corporate crimes of ENRON and WORLDCOM.

Also, encourage your local schools and civic organizations to take advantage of "The Shuster Project's" PUBLIC SPEAKER PROGRAM by having the school (or yourself) send an E-Mail to this address: Public_Speaker_Offer@sendfree.com, for more information.

And, in May of 2002, "The Shuster Project" received THE GOLDEN WEB AWARD - "In recognition of Creativity, Integrity and Excellence on the Web" from the International Association of Webmasters and Designers - (IAWMD), further establishing the credibility and good reputation of "The Shuster Project" in our work with respect to tobacco industry fraud and false claims issues/crimes.

In closing, I once again URGE you to help Joe Fellon in any way that YOU can, and I also URGE you to visit the Award-winning "The Shuster Project - Tobacco Industry Fraud and False Claims Issues" web site at http://www.rxshuster.org and participate in ALL of our GRASSROOTS programs and learn more than YOU ever imagined existed with respect to the corporate crimes of the tobacco industry.

I look forward to hearing back from you!
