Dear Bernadette French
Customer Service
National PTA
info@pta.org,
Although your response to our informational introduction and a request that you utilize
our non-commercial tobacco issues web resource in, for and to the best interests of your
membership is somewhat puzzling as we have no "products" to sell your
membership, I would suggest that you at least review The Shuster Project web site at
http://www.rxshuster.org and, perhaps, reconsider your decision to not make more PTA's in
your membership aware of our outreach resources such as our Public Speaker Program Offer
which is, had you checked, provided at no charge whatsoever as are all of our C.A.P.
Programs.
As we are able to monitor all requests and inquiries into our Public Speaker Program
Offer, I have been advised that your office has made no inquiries, to date, regarding any
of our C.A.P. Programs.
As I mentioned in the correspondence we sent you, of which a "hard copy" has
been mailed by regular U.S.P.S. to your listed address and will be displayed in our
Correspondence Section for public review, if you have any questions regarding our outreach
programs, Grassroots Efforts, Petitions, Message Board sites, our commercial-free
broadcasting station iCAT or any of our other totally free programs for children,
families, teachers, schools, libraries, civic organizations and others, please do not
hesitate to contact me.
But to deny your membership the awareness of The Shuster Project and it's web site
address, to deny them access to our absolutely free Public Speaker Program Offer and our
immense interactive resources because of a misconception on your part that some product
would somehow be offered for some kind of sale is an unfortunate misrepresentation and
misinterpretation of our simple and clearly illustrated and defined introduction to our
freely accessible, unique and important tobacco issues resources specifically designed to
interact with parents, children, teens, teachers, students, civic organizations and
others.
If you feel, for some reason, that you somehow don't want to allow your membership access
to The Shuster Project, our web site, our free resources and interactive programs that
would be an entirely different issue, however, for the peculiar reason of thinking some
product would be sold in some manner that you don't describe in any detail and of which I
have no idea what you mean, I feel it important to document, for historical purposes, my
suggestion that you have completely misinterpreted our simple introduction.
Clearly, this is the case and I will gladly answer any questions you may have in order
that your membership might be made aware of our resources for the benefit of a greater
number of people.
Once again, all of my contact information is being provided to you at the conclusion of
this correspondence so that, for the record, it is clear that I stand ready to answer any
question you might possibly have that seems to be interfering with what should otherwise
be a desirable distribution by your office of The Shuster Project web site to your
membership for the resources and interactive tools we provide to assist parents and
teachers and students to effectively engage the tobacco companies in very potent and
effective ways.
We will, of course, consider the more tedious task of communicating directly with state
chapters of PTA's in order to empower their memberships in issues of tobacco industry
Fraud & False Claims and to make sure no additional misinterpretations of our
resources are left unaddressed.
As is our custom, this letter will also be displayed in our Correspondence Section for
public review.
Sincerely,
RXShuster
