Tobacco Industry Fraud That Exceeds Enron And WorldCom!

Theme : Public Forum | Scope : National

Joan B. Taf, Borough Mayor, Naugatuck
George W. Bush, President, United States of America
John G. Rowland, Governor, CT

Since May 14, 1999, "The Shuster Project - Tobacco Industry Fraud & False Claims Issues" web site has been addressing significant corporate fraud, as has never been done before, that's costing consumers and taxpayers multiple Billions of dollars in Municipal, State and Federal income tax revenues, states' sales tax revenues and municipal services.

A "Conspiracy of Silence, Distortion and Avoidance" continues by both the state and federal governments, despite all CT state senators and house representatives and all federal Congresspersons and Senators receiving seven (7) Press Releases (example: http://www.rxshuster.org/press_release_.htm) and several "Special Alerts" which conservatively addressed the huge sums of state and federal revenues and states' sales taxes being defrauded.

The fact remains that absolutely none of these representatives bothered to investigate these crimes or even try to recover these vast sums of defrauded taxes and consumer dollars.

Recognizing the need for legislative action and specific legal address towards these crimes, The Shuster Project was directly responsible for the passage of the first "False Claims" law in CT that specifically allowed for the state of CT to begin the recovery of these huge amounts of defrauded income tax and sales tax revenues - HB5602 (http://www.rxshuster.org/hb5602.htm) - which ultimately became HB6942 - An Act Concerning the CT False Claims Act - (http://www.rxshuster.org/6942.htm).

This Bill has yet to be used in connection with the recovery of in excess of $300+ Million Dollars (grossly conservative) in defrauded CT state income tax and state sales tax revenues; that figure not including the lost "value" of multiple hundreds of millions of dollars in municipal "services," specifically trash hauling services (http://www.rxshuster.org/municipa.htm), which also detrimentally affects each and every state in this country.

"Candidate-for-President," then President Bush was equally appraised by The Shuster Project staff of these corporate tobacco industry fraud and false claims crimes, yet he chose to do nothing and/or say anything about them whilst he stumped for President nor has he since addressed these significant tobacco industry crimes, despite his meager corporate crimes crusade.

In September of 2000, StudyWeb.com bestowed upon The Shuster Project it's Academic Excellence Award, making our web content applicable in school curriculum for Grades 12+ in the Subjects of History and Social Studies in and for the topics of Criminal Justice and White Collar Crimes, recognizing these issues to be relevant, important, credible and significant enough to be taught in classrooms all across America.

Also, on May 19th, 2002, The Shuster Project and our web site received The Golden Web Award from the International Association of Webmasters and Designers - (IAWMD) - "In recognition of Creativity, Integrity and Excellence on the Web."

So why aren't these tobacco industry fraud and false claims crimes relevant enough, important enough or significant enough for our elected and appointed officials to act upon in order that these multiple billions of defrauded tax revenue and income tax dollars be recovered by them??

The Shuster Project web site is authored by a 17+ year insider within the tobacco industry.

By signing this Petition and forwarding it thru your e-mail lists, you are asking your respective municipal leaders, state's governors, state's representatives and federal representatives to address these significant tobacco industry fraud and false claims crimes by openly investigating them and forcefully acting to recover the multiple billions of dollars defrauded by these crimes, otherwise it is going to take even longer than it has already for these municipal, state and federal officials to act, as whatever fear of the tobacco company's they may have does not justify these crimes to continue as they are.

Thank you.
