Tobacco industry Fraud and
False Claims crimes occur every day in each and every state with "Minimum State
Price" statutes on the sales of cigarettes (Pack & Carton sales) and other
"discounted" tobacco products. (see:
http://www.rxshuster.org/press_release_9.htm)
Although these crimes are "exclusively" tobacco
industry crimes, the direct result of deliberate and illegal "mis"-pricing of
the "discounted" packs and carton sales, the retail community is liable for the
penalties for it is within these stores that sell the tobacco products that this illegal
mis-pricing takes place and it will be said that the proprietors "should have been
aware of the crimes taking place" within their stores.
Multiple tens of BILLIONS of dollars of states' sales taxes
have been defrauded in this manner.
By signing this Petition, regardless of the State you
reside in, you are sending a clear message to your legislators.
That message is for them to investigate these tobacco
industry crimes and instructing them to work openly, publicly and forcefully to recover
these defrauded revenues.
As a result, the many, many states with severe Budget
deficits can apply their recovered share of these enormous defrauded revenues to not only
balance these Budget deficits, but to place many of them into a SURPLUS!
We at The Shuster Project encourage you to send this
Petition to everyone in your Address Book, regardless of the State you reside in, because
it is a sure bet that your state has been defrauded of hundreds of millions if not
BILLIONS of dollars in state sales taxes on the deliberately mispriced cigarette
"Specials" being sold in retail stores throughout your State!
Connecticut, alone, has lost in excess of $300+ MILLION
DOLLARS in defrauded State Sales Taxes in the manner described in Press Release 9 that can
be found within The Shuster Project web site.
Sign this Petition because although The Shuster Project has
made great strides in alerting the American public to these tobacco industry fraud and
false claims crimes, you have to do your part to address them, as well.
Remember, sign this Petition and forward it to everyone in
your Address Book and together we will put an end to these tobacco industry corporate
crimes that exceed Enron and WorldCom!
