PETITION #19

Re-Elected Officials Urged To Address Tobacco Industry Fraud Crimes.
posted by Robert Shuster
Theme : Public Forum | Scope : National
Send-out date : December 6, 2002
Recipients :

John G. Rowland, Governor, CT
Joseph J. Crisco, Sen., CT 17
Rosa DeLauro, Rep., US (CT 3)

With redistricting completed and the elections now concluded in Connecticut, The Shuster Project urges the Governor of Connecticut, CT State Senator Joseph Crisco and U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro to take decisive action with respect to tobacco industry fraud and false claims crimes being purpetrated in Connecticut.

CT currently has a $300+ Million Dollar budget deficit.

The outstanding and constantly-growing sum of CT state income tax revenues and CT state sales tax revenues being defrauded as a result of tobacco industry fraud and false claims crimes already well exceeds $300+ MILLION DOLLARS, thus completely eliminating the current CT state budget deficit!

Since May of 1999, The Shuster Project has been alerting CT's Governor, state representatives, Attorney General and specific municipality officials as to this enormous sum of defrauded CT state income tax revenue and defrauded CT state sales tax revenue with absolutely NOTHING done by any of them to either investigate these crimes or to even lift a finger to recover well in excess of $300+ Million defrauded CT State Dollars!

Although Rep. Rosa DeLauro is "new" to representing Naugatuck as a result of redistricting, she has had multiple terms in Congress and has been alerted by The Shuster Project to these tobacco industry fraud and false claims crimes years ago, yet had chosen to do nothing ... perhaps as a result of not representing Naugatuck before.

But NOW U.S. Rep. DeLauro DOES represent Naugatuck and by signing this Petition, Naugatuck residents will find out for themselves how she addresses tobacco industry fraud and false claims crimes ... or whether she chooses to ignore and avoid these crimes once again.

By signing this Petition, you are directing it's recipients, including U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, to take immediate action to both investigate tobacco industry fraud and false claims crimes in CT and to work quickly and forcefully to recover the enormous sums of defrauded CT state tax revenues so that the current CT state budget deficit can be significantly reduced or even completely eliminated without the need to make cuts in EDUCATION, SOCIAL SECURITY, UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS, STATE MEDICAL COVERAGE, SCHOOL AND MUNICIPAL FUNDING and more ...
