Re: Raised Bill #6942 and Related State Revenues Matters

Date: 2/9/2000

Ladies and Gentlemen,

For the third straight year, now, I again ask for you to pass Raised Bill #6942.

As the focus of this 12-week legislative session purports to be to address budgetary issues, it is unconscionable that this Bill would not be passed this session.

Its passage will facilitate the recovery of over $190 million dollars in various “lost” state taxes, including state income tax revenues and other income streams.

All of you, for the past 3 legislative sessions, have been provided irrefutable evidence of CT State Income Tax fraud, as committed by the tobacco companies in the other states as well, going back over 40 years.

With interest and penalties, as levied by the various political subdivisions of the state, the above figure can increase substantially.

As always, this letter will be included into The Shuster Project web site, (http://www.rxshuster.org), to illustrate my ongoing effort to provide the State of Connecticut with the legislative means to recover enormous sums of “lost” tax and income stream-based revenues.

My main focus with The Shuster Project, until recently, has been centered with the placement of content that addresses the broad spectrum of tobacco industry fraud and false claims issues

With that goal now achieved and the content now expanding, my primary focus has shifted to promotion of The Shuster Project web site among the general public, special interest groups, schools, national organizations and others.

It is just a matter of time before these issues of tobacco industry fraud and false claims issues are more broadly reviewed by a great number of people.

What your response(s) will be for ignoring these issues that have been brought to your attention for the past 3 years is quite beyond me, for I can see no excuse for having done nothing.

As always, I stand ready to assist the state of Connecticut, once Raised Bill #6942 has been passed for the protections and guarantee’s it provides, to recover enormous sums of “lost” revenues.

I also stand ready to assist the state of Connecticut, and others, to generate considerable income streams that should have been realized decades ago, but due to the fraudulent activities of the tobacco companies, have not.

I will await your response(s).

Sincerely,

Robert X. Shuster
