Dear Carolyn,

I appreciate your good wishes and I also appreciate that you took the time to at least view the site.

To deny your students, teachers and organization itself the participation in our Grassroots Efforts and Media Alert Efforts, all I may accomplish is accumulating a large number of letters and emails wishing me luck.

I contacted you with the proposition of encouraging you to encourage your members and students to participate in correcting these problems.

I shall always try to "right" these wrongs, but I am asking for the very support from the very organizations and people that can effect that change.

One man in the face of such a Goliath is a never-ending challenge.

Unfortunately, it is also a never advancing resolution if people such as yourself and organizations such as your own shy away from helping to hoist the flag of notice to others as to what is going on, refuse to participate in, at the very least, the Grassroots Efforts and Media Alert Effort teachers, parents, students, administrators and city legislators can participate in.

As much as I appreciate your best wishes it is your help, assistance and participation I need more.

I can visit schools and discuss how tobacco companies target children, their parents, grandparents.

I can address teacher functions and give them suggestions as to how their students can actually make a difference against the tobacco companies.

All of what has been accomplished by the present efforts of you, your students, your organization is.........?.........what?

If 1,10, 20, 30 million students were to take place in just the Grassroots Effort, alone...that would have a tremendous broadside impact upon the tobacco industry such that these tobacco companies could never operate in the same manner again.

They remain safe because an incredible minority of people are doing an incredible amount of work yet are being "squelched" because they are just so few.

If you think that you as an individual, any effort you think you have participated in with others, or any work of your students thus far has slowed the tobacco company's resolve or means of recruiting more youth or selling more cigarettes because of those efforts, fine..do nothing more but let me know those impacts you feel you have accomplished.

If, as I know it to be, you and your students, beyond your best efforts, have done "much" but accomplished nothing, than take a second look at my programs, my offer to speak at schools in the entire Northeast..whereever I can drive to..and I can work with you to supplement your anti-smoking efforts in ways you haven't yet imagined.

I can only point out as directly and politely as I have that what you have, in effect, done, is sidestep or indirectly provide no assistance where mere distribution of my web address among your teachers, schools and students may just have the impact you could never hope to achieve otherwise against the tobacco companies, their campaigns to recruit children smokers and in the process, straighten out massive fraud and generate billions of dollars in tobacco tax revenues and income streams.

This also not mentioning straightening out massive Income Tax fraud on the part of the tobacco companies.

Because you have chosen to do nothing further to interact with us to discover the arsenal of tactics that can lasso the tobacco companies and stop them cold so they take notice that corrective actions are being effected against them, you have prevented yourself from learning all the things you CAN do that have never been done before.

This letter and my introductory letter will be on display in my web site.

I know I am doing all I can to address these issues.

I hope you don't feel as though you have....not quite yet.

And when you are ready to participate, I will be here, hopefully, to assist you, speak with you, with your students, teachers, administrators.

A knowledgeable and empowered group of focused and enthusiastic individuals of many ages is a potent force for the tobacco companies to deal with.

No such force exists yet.

I'm confident I have found the formulas, the documents and the means to accomplish that.

Can I do it alone? No.

This requires a collaborative effort.

So many people are afraid for so many reasons.

I will always be here, should you decide to join hands with me.

Sincerely,

Robert X. Shuster
