Women’s Issues

Welcome to our Women’s Issues section.

The tobacco companies utilize an incredible array of techniques, tactics and consumer products, including fashion accessories, garments and the insinuation of “beauty” and being “chic,” to “lure” young girls and young women into the ranks of “new” smoker.

If you are a young girl, young female adult, female adult or elderly female, the tobacco companies are stalking you.

Most female magazines and publications accept advertisement money from the tobacco companies, thus providing millions of exposures to cigarette brand advertisements each and every day to young children, boys and girls alike.

Publications including TV Guide that states that one of the main reasons they accept ad money from the tobacco companies is because their readers are “adults.”

Many Moms’ will take exception to THAT statement as their daughters read about their favorite soap stars, television and cable movie listings there.

Although this section will continue to grow and illustrate more methods used by the tobacco companies to entrap young girls into smoking thinking, somehow, that they will look beautiful, chic, cool or whatever…this section provides adequate content to illustrate some of the consumer products and marketing tactics used in that very process.

This web site is equipped with the "Get 1 on 1" guest response system.
